About Cassava Flour


- Also known as manihot esculenta, yucca, manioc, and mandioca.
- Cassava is susceptible to diseases including blight, stem rot, wilt, stem gall, leaf spot, anthracnose, armillaria root rot, cassava ash, rust, and superelongation.
- In Uganda, cassava is mainly produced in Mbale, Iganga, Apac, Kamuli, Lira, Tororo, and Kumi.
- Cassava flour has a wide range of uses, including bread and
baked goods.
